Handwriting Curriculum

Beautiful handwriting is a work of art. It is one of the particular subjects that often leave parents scratching their heads. Upon opening the first handwriting book with your student you might find yourself saying, “THIS isn’t what I learned.” Next thing you know you find yourself immersed in the internet in the world of handwriting fonts. Which one?! Which one! Which one? Oh my… Expensive workbooks, cheap workbooks, long and tedious workbooks, workbooks with tears, workbooks without tears, workbooks with verses, workbooks with quotes, and more are available to be had by the homeschooling Mom.

Relax. Take a deep breath. Say, “it isn’t this hard.” Break out the primary journal, pick your font, and let the handwriting begin on a rather inexpensive level. Here is another great resource for this type of handwriting over at Donna Young.

  1. FYI, those primary journals on the amazon page can be purchased at walmart for half the price!
